I have solved most of my problems with network simulation in my virtual machines. I no longer need to play with the awful rules of the “tc” (traffic control) mechanism in Linux. I have found Netem, a very nice network “scheduling” policy that make “dummynet” look like a kids toy…

The new version of VMWare for Mac looks very nice. I love the windows shadows, the full integration of the opened applications (you can see the icon in the dock), or the real-time display of the windows applications in exposé.
